As a Chicagoan, it's been an adjustment coming from 12" of snow to a city with flowers everywhere (see photo below). Temps are 60s/40s.
I used an AirCaddy box to ship my bike. My prayers that FedEx would treat the box well were answered. The bike was good to go!
Three of us did a 16-mile warm-up ride from the Point Loma hostel to Sunset Cliffs, then south to Cabrillo National Monument. What a great view! Cliffs and ocean to the west, and the city to the east.
