Here are some photos from the last ten days:
Photos 1 and 2
Bob G, Andre, and Ken as we enter Alabama. Then a stop at the Dees Pecan Store where we bought some goodies and had a delightful visit with the owner (Linda, Andre, and Ken)
Photos 3, 4, and 5
The terns flew close to our ferry boat from Dauphin Island since some of the passengers were throwing them food. A barge headed towards the Mobile port. One of the natural gas platforms in the bay.

My daughter Elisabeth rode 20 miles with us during her visit with us. Just before she headed back to pick up her car and head back to Atlanta, we stopped at a Waffle House for a "second breakfast"! She took this photo of me, Andre, Ken, and Bob. A day or two later we found another perfect "second" breakfast spot - Sally's Restaurant.
Photos 9 and 10
Since Texas we have been enjoying seeing numerous, large, beautiful Live Oak trees. Also here's a quintessential scene of an older simple home surrounded by Live Oak trees dripping with Spanish moss.
Photos 11, 12, and 13
The last couple days the roadside has been filled with these brightly colored wild flowers. Here's Andre heading down one of the typical backroads lined with flowers.
Photos 14 and 15
You may have seen today's blog photo of Carol, Jerry, and Bob Plant at the Secret Garden Bakery. We followed their lead and thoroughly enjoyed this excellent stop. Here's Bob G, Terry, Ken and Andre at the entrance gate and the second photo is all five of us in the garden of the cottage bakery.
Photos 16 and 17
Here's Terry then Andre riding along the Millhopper Road as we enter from the northwest into Gainesville. This is a good example of the tree lined lanes we have been riding on lately.
